ELIZABETH TAYLOR - 78 - IN HOSPITAL

ELIZABETH TAYLOR, the 78-year-old British-American actress who was admitted to hospital late last week, will remain at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles for several more days.
Taylor, who has appeared in more than 50 films and won OSCARS for her roles in 'Butterfield 8' and 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf', is understood to be in a stable condition and is resting comfortably surrounded by her family and friends. Taylor, who has been married eight times, twice to the actor RICHARD BURTON, has endured lifelong battles with substance abuse, weight issues, as well as undergoing more than 20 major operations.
