Giorgio Night Queen Makeup Collection for Fall 2010

This fall Giorgio Armani is preparing the so-called New Chic look, which is also called the “new vamp” look by some. It means, the shades of the night city sky are used in the makeup: pale pink skin, gorgeous purple and cherry lips and nails and also dark blue shades for the eye makeup.

The new Giorgio Armani makeup collection is called Night Queen and will hit the shops in august 2010. For now we can only share a couple of photos of the new makeup products, but even they alone can make you love the collection and look forward to more makeup from Armani.

Mexican MAC Rodarte Makeup Line Sparks Controversy

Joint makeup line by Rodarte and MAC will be available from the middle of September, but one of the items has recently caused controversy.

New limited makeup line was inspired by traditional Mexican colors and culture so makeup items were given national and romantic names such as Quinceanera for pink blushes, Ghost Town for white lipstick and Juarez for nail polish. The last name sparked outcry. Blogosphere was blown up by the fact that Juarez is a Mexican factory town known for its high murder and rape rate with victims aged between 12 and 22 years old.

Representatives of the brands hurried to bring their official apologies. Official statement says the brands understand that the product name from MAC Rodarte collection have offended some customers and fans. They didn’t intend this and are very sorry.

The brands decided to give to impoverished Juarez women products form the new collection and promised to keep the public informed on how these efforts will unfold.

Undoubtedly, makeup is exactly what Juarez women need to protect themselves from rape and murder. And promo photo looks outrageous in this context. But we need to give a credit to the brands that the makeup collection itself looks very beautiful.

Radiance - the name of the upcoming new perfume product from Britney Spears. The product will be released to the market in September. This is the ninth fragrance from the celebrity and its composition is acknowledged to be the most feminine of Britney’s perfumes.

The composition features luxurious mix of red berries, delicate flower petals and soft musk notes. The fragrance is packaged in shiny bright pink bottle, which is decorated with stylized large diamonds.

The composition is based on berry notes, with hints of tuberose, jasmine, orange flowers, and notes of iris and musk.

Women Make Themselves Beautiful Behind Closed Doors

There are not many men who are aware of the time and labor their adored women spend on trying to look gorgeous – two thirds, as researchers assure us. With 28 per cent totally oblivious of the fact that the fair sex stays fair by wearing artificial eyelashes, plucking hairs from their chins or even filing their nails into shape!

Meanwhile, a poll of 3,000 women shows, women spend about 5 hours a week away from their males busy with their beauty routines, complete with putting on fake tans and waxing legs.

And once we look through the list of only the most common beauty procedures we can easily imagine them taking far more than 5 hours, what with plucking eyebrows and nose hairs, shaving or waxing legs, armpits, bikini lines, doing things to their hair and eyelashes, taking care of their nails, doing pedicures, putting on make-up and doing regular facials… Just the reading can make some people sweat!

No wonder about 18 per cent of the most cunning admit to going through the motions with their partners remaining unaware of their toil and trouble. 5 per cent of women take good care never to show up before their men without having gotten themselves done up properly.

“The process in which women go through to look good is sometimes not at all glamorous or ladylike,” commented a spokesperson for Jolen Crème Bleach which commissioned the survey, adding that it is all heavily regimented for women. Beauty routines are generally built up for years and observed regularly, often daily, with men never aware of how hard it is to be beautiful for them.
